About the Teacher

Meet Sharlene

I grew up in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo), where I first learned embroidery, sewing, knitting, and crochet as a young child. Those early lessons sparked a lifelong love of needlework that has never faded.

For over 40 years, I've been teaching friends and family one-on-one, sharing the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands. Whether it's matching holiday outfits for the grandkids or personalized handmade gifts, I believe there's something magical about handcrafted items.

I'm always working on a project, you'll rarely catch me without yarn or fabric nearby! Now, through In Stitches, I'm excited to share this passion with you.
