Personalized needlework lessons, taught in person
Learn to knit, crochet, sew, or embroider with one-on-one and hands-on lessons. Classes happen at a location you choose: your home, a cafe, library, or wherever works best.

About the Teacher
Meet Sharlene
I grew up in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo), where I first learned embroidery, sewing, knitting, and crochet as a young child. Those early lessons sparked a lifelong love of needlework that has never faded.
For over 40 years, I've been teaching friends and family one-on-one, sharing the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands. Whether it's matching holiday outfits for the grandkids or personalized handmade gifts, I believe there's something magical about handcrafted items.
I'm always working on a project, you'll rarely catch me without yarn or fabric nearby! Now, through In Stitches, I'm excited to share this passion with you.

Give the Gift of Creativity
Needlework lessons make meaningful gifts
Looking for a unique gift? Needlework lessons are perfect for Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, retirement celebrations, or any occasion where you want to give something truly meaningful.
As a gift-giver, you can prepay for a set number of lessons or hours. The recipient will then work with me to schedule at their convenience.
Note: Lessons around major holidays fill up quickly, so gift lessons are typically scheduled after the rush.
